Meet the Waikato Team: Nipun

We’re thrilled to introduce Nipun, our new Client Services Manager for the Waikato region! Nipun brings a wealth of experience in management and a fresh perspective to our Care On Call team.

Nipun has worked in healthcare for over five years, taking on important roles in various organizations, all based in Hamilton. He has a strong background in strategic management, which drives his passion for creating better ways to deliver services and improve client outcomes. For Nipun, developing effective strategies is not just part of his job—it’s a personal commitment to making a positive impact on people’s lives through thoughtful and effective care.

Transitioning to Care On Call has been a challenging but rewarding journey for Nipun. Moving from residential services to in-home care was a significant shift, and everything was new. For the first few weeks, he said his sole focus was on the learning process and immersing himself in his new role.

As the Client Services Manager for the Waikato region, Nipun’s responsibilities include fielding complaints, working with funders, and collaborating with clients to understand their needs and optimize our services. At the heart of his work is a belief that everyone deserves access to compassionate, high-quality healthcare, and that every small improvement can make a significant difference in someone's life.

In his free time, Nipun enjoys capturing memories with his digital photography skills when he goes on weekend getaways. He also likes playing video games and going to the gym. He wants local support workers to know that he’s approachable, friendly, and has a great sense of humor—he promises he won’t bite!

We’re excited to have Nipun on board and can’t wait to see the positive impact he will have on our community. We have a few more new and old team members to introduce yet, so stay tuned!
